Well...I can't believe it...my first guitar is complete.
My first thoughts are to Thank everyone for their support and all the questions that were answered. Thank You!!

I have such a high regard for all of you who have dedicated
their time and love for guitars. Lutherie is a fine craft and I don't consider myself a Luthier by the strict sense of the word. I am still very much an aprentice and will continue to be for a long time.

She's a Dred guitar with EIR, Sidtka spruce. Adirondack bracing!!
Binding is curly maple. Ebony fret board and bridge.
1.82" nut width. Paua abalone fret markers. Grover V-97( Gold) open back tuners. Bone nut and Ivory saddle.
By everyone's standards, it's just an honest guitar.
I put a light urethane finish and left the top a matte finish.

What is unique and pleased me was the sound. Having played guitar for nearly 45 yrs...I was most pleased with the outstanding sound quality!! YES!!
It's more than a canon. The trebles are as crisp as they could be. Really clear. Punchy base and beautifully balanced midrange. What more could I have asked for.
It would easily pass over the quality of every Martin I have ever owned. The sustain is absolutely incredible!!

Unfortunately, I promised my first guitar to my son-in-law, Jason. Oh well, it's still in the family.

It must have been all the praying that helped me produce a great sounding guitar.
So, I thank God, and I thank all of you for your help and
patience with me. I could not have made it without you all!!
I will try and post some pictures tomorrow. Not feeling well today.

May God Bless and take care all!

WalterK
Nothing special just a Dred.

Well done Walter - I'd love to see some pictures.

Be aware - it's a very addictive "habit" you've got yourself into!
